  Welcome to the Suspenseful Seduction World!

  The author of this book has borrowed (with my permission) one or more of my characters from the Trident Security series and/or the Doms of The Covenant series. Some are minor characters who are now getting their own story, thanks to the authors writing in my world, while others are major characters who are being mentioned to connect the story to my series. This book, and others like it, is being published through Suspenseful Seduction Publishing with a contractual agreement between myself and the author.

  While I may have provided some suggestions for including my characters in the storyline, this book is the sole work of the author who wrote it. I was not involved in the writing or editing process, however, several Beta Readers familiar with my characters helped review the final product. While the BDSM lifestyle is included in most of the books in my series, it may or may not be included in the SSW authors’ storylines.

  If you’re not familiar with my series, I’ve included a brief history of Trident Security and The Covenant, along with a Who’s Who of current (at the time this book was published) major characters in both series.

  I’m honored so many authors loved my characters and series that they wanted to include them in their stories.

  Who’s Who and the History of Trident Security and The Covenant

  ***While not every character is in every book, these are the ones with the most mentions throughout the series. This guide will help keep readers straight about who’s who.

  Trident Security (TS) is a private investigative and military agency, co-owned by Ian and Devon Sawyer. With governmental and civilian contracts, the company got its start when the brothers and a few of their teammates from SEAL Team Four retired to the private sector. The original six-man team is referred to as the Sexy Six-Pack, as they were dubbed by Kristen Sawyer, née Anders, or the Alpha Team. Trident had since expanded and former members of the military and law enforcement have been added to the staff. The company is located on a guarded compound, which was a former import/export company cover for a drug trafficking operation in Tampa, Florida. Three warehouses on the property were converted into large apartments, the TS offices, gym, and bunk rooms. There is also an obstacle course, a Main Street shooting gallery, a helicopter pad, and more features necessary for training and missions.

  In addition to the security business, there is a fourth warehouse that now houses an elite BDSM club, co-owned by Devon, Ian, and their cousin, Mitch Sawyer, who is the manager. A lot of time and money has gone into making The Covenant the most sought after membership in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area and beyond. Members are thoroughly vetted before being granted access to the elegant club.

  There are currently over fifty Doms who have been appointed Dungeon Masters (DMs), and they rotate two or three shifts each throughout the month. At least four DMs are on duty at all times at various posts in the pit, playrooms, and the new garden, with an additional one roaming around. Their job is to ensure the safety of all the submissives in the club. They step in if a sub uses their safeword and the Dom in the scene doesn’t hear or heed it, and make sure the equipment used in scenes isn’t harming the subs.

  The Covenant’s security team takes care of everything else that isn’t scene-related, and provides safety for all members and are essentially the bouncers. With the recent addition of the garden, and more private, themed rooms, the owners have expanded their self-imposed limit of 350 members. The fire marshal had approved them for 500 when the warehouse-turned-kink club first opened, but the cousins had intentionally kept that number down to maintain an elite status. Now with more room, they are increasing the membership to 500, still under the new maximum occupancy of 720.

  Between Trident Security and The Covenant there’s plenty of romance, suspense, and steamy encounters. Come meet the Sexy Six-Pack, their friends, family, and teammates.

  Prologue

  Bile rose in Sophia Swanson’s throat, as she curled in the fetal position on the floor with her hands and arms locked over her head. She made sure her fingers were hidden. The hot breath, deep growls, gnashing teeth, and slimy wetness on the back of her arms indicated Dawg stood above her. Sophia felt the skin tear on the back of one of her arms. She let out a blood-curdling, gut retching scream of pain

  “You god damned worthless bitch!” Tomas Carp yelled from above. He snapped his belt several times. Taunting her with the sound. He laughed when Sophia flinched with each sharp sound. He struck her across her hips and lower back. Hitting her, inflicting damage with each strike of the leather strap and buckle.

  “Stop! Please, stop.” Sophia begged, crying out from the pain both Tomas and Dawg were inflicting on her.

  “You’re worthless!” He continued to shout as he beat her. “Bite her, Dawg. She doesn’t deserve to live. Worthless whore! Attack! Attack!”

  “Freeze! Police!” a voice yelled.

  She sighed in relief, not knowing if the words were real, or if she’d conjured them in her mind to stop the abuse. The relief was short-lived, though, when Tomas continued to beat her while commanding his dog to continue to attack.

  “Police! Freeze!”

  Sophia didn’t dare expose her face to see whoever else was in the room. She feared Dawg or Tomas, would rip it off. The dog’s hot breath was on her hands, on top of her head. Sophia braced herself for another attack. It never came. A whimper came from the canine at the same time Tomas bellowed. Sophia felt a heavy weight across her back, crushing her to the floor.

  Through the small slit beneath her arms, Sophia watched a pair of black, shiny shoes come into her line of vision. Tomas was flipped to his stomach beside her and there was rage in his eyes. The police officer brought Tomas’s arms behind his back and slapped a set of handcuffs on him. Sophia shed tears of joy. On her other side, someone slipped a muzzle on Dawg, before he was taken away.

  “Miss, it’s the police, you’re safe now.” A female voice was heard from beside her. “You can relax, we need to check your injuries. I’m Officer Kimberly Beckett, you’re safe.”

  A sob escaped, then another. By the time the third one emerged, she was bawling, unable to do what was asked of her. When someone would approach she’d kick out at them, telling them not to touch her. Several people were talking at once, she couldn’t understand what was be
ing said. She was too busy trying to protect herself to feel the sharp pain in her upper arm when a paramedic administered a shot to calm her.

  Sophia jerked awake, glancing around in confusion. She knew she was in a hospital room from the beep of a monitor, she heard a doctor being paged, and there was a TV mounted high on the wall. Several clear bags hung off an IV pole above her. She followed the lines down and noticed they were attached to her arm. Lifting it, she winced when the skin on her arms tightened. There were bandages from her fingers, up her arms, then disappeared beneath the thin gown she wore. Several areas had dark red patches against the pearly white gauze.

  “Sophia?” The soft male voice came from the corner of the room.

  She blinked as her boss Chris Bannerman approached. “Chris, what are you doing here? How did I get here? What happened?”

  “You left work before I could get you your paycheck.” He sat on a chair next to her bed. “I arrived and your neighbors were gathered around outside your house. When I heard screams, I started forward, but they held me back. Someone had already called the police, your neighbors told me to wait. I wasn’t going to, but I heard the sirens so I waited, I went in after Tomas, and the dog were taken away.”
